Nick Lachey & Vanessa Minnillo: Back On! Posted by Natasha on October 9, 2009 // Category: News // Comments (0)
People.com: Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo split in June, but beginning in late August, sightings began cropping up of them together at nightclubs across the country – and in some instances they were engaged in some heavy PDA.
At the time, sources told PEOPLE that Lachey, 35, and Minnillo, 25, were merely “hanging out” and they were not officially back together.
Well, things have changed. “I am happy in a relationship,” Lachey told Good Day Philadelphia on Thursday. “I was single for a minute, there, and then we’ve kind of patched things up.” Lachey also described Minnillo as “a very smart girl. She’s far smarter than I!”
A source tells PEOPLE that the relationship remains a work in progress. “They’ve always had a lot of love for each other, but they took a little break, and now they’re working on their relationship,” says the source.
Lachey is currently touring the country in a bus for reverse auction site Winnit.com, which he co-founded as part of its “Everybody Wins Tour,” benefiting Feeding America. Minnillo has yet to join him on the road, as she works on her own projects, says the source.

Vanessa Minnillo Drops Wedding Hints to Nick Lachey Posted by Natasha on June 3, 2009 // Category: News // Comments (0)
Memo to Nick Lachey: Vanessa Minnillo has marriage on the mind – and hand.
Pointing to a 5-carat ring on her middle finger, Minnillo, 28, tells Las Vegas columnist Robin Leach, “It will be 10 carats when it moves to the fourth finger!”
Leach says she was laughing when she said it. But in the course of a brief interview posted on his Vegas DeLuxe blog, Minnillo mentions marriage three times.
Noting that Lachey, 35, couldn’t make it to Vegas with her because he was at a friend’s birthday party, she pouted, “So once again it looks as if I’m always the bridesmaid but never the bride.”
Not that there’s a problem, she quickly adds. “This romance is still going strong,” she says. “There will always be rumblings and rumors that we’ve broken up, but in fact, it’s very much still on – and it keeps on getting better.”
So much so that, “Maybe this will be the one time I wind up the bride instead of the bridesmaid!”

AllHeadlineNews.com: International shoe charity Soles4Souls has enlisted the help of several celebrities for this year’s Barefoot Week. Scarlet Johansson, Nick Lachey, Jessica Simpson, Randy Jackson and Perez Hilton are among the list of star supports for the annual event running June 1-7.
The central purpose for the yearly donation drive is to outfit thousands of people around the globe with the footwear they desperately need. According the organization’s numbers, roughly 5 million shoes have been distributed in over 125 countries so far.
Jessica Simpson lent her voice to Barefoot Week, expressing what “an honor to donate shoes to help Soles4Souls as they do incredible things for the less fortunate people in this world”.
American Idol alum Kellie Pickler verbalized her endorsement, stating how she is “thrilled to support Soles4Souls and the 2009 Barefoot Week in order to help spread their mission to ‘Change the world one pair at a time’ “. Her former judge and fellow shoe drive supporter Randy Jackson encourages “everyone to donate as many shoes as possible.”
“You don’t have to be a singer to have soul!”, fellow celebrity backer Nick Lachey exclaims. Blogosphere magnate Perez Hilton echoed that same tone by drawing upon a phrase from The Killers anthem “All These Things That I’ve Done”. He noted that “I’ve got sole but I’m not a soldier. However, with Soles4Souls I am helping to fight the war against poverty in my own small way by giving to those in need.”
Actress Scarlett Johansson stresses that a large bank account is not a requisite for to aiding the less fortunate. “If you can’t dig deep in your pockets, then dig in your closet!” She continues, “Americans can make a huge difference with Soles4Souls by donating shoes”.
Other famous sponsors for Barefoot Week 2009 include Lance Bass, Brittany Snow, Elizabeth Banks, NBA player Antawn Jamison and the Rev Run DMC.
Nick, Drew Lachey form TV production company Posted by Natasha on May 31, 2009 // Category: News // Comments (0)
Cincinnati.com: Wanting to have more control of their TV destiny, brothers Nick and Drew Lachey have formed a Hollywood TV production company they call Flying Pig Productions.
“Only someone from Cincinnati would understand that name,” says Drew with a laugh from his Los Angeles home.
The brothers are pitching four reality series to TV networks, says Drew, who debuts Sunday as host of a four-week reality competition series, “HGTV’s $250,000 Challenge” (10 p.m., HGTV).
They had been talking about starting a company before the pilot was shot last year for “Taking the Stage,” the MTV reality series created by Nick about Cincinnati’s School for Creative & Performing Arts students. Nick, 35, graduated from SCPA in 1992; Drew, 32, graduated in 1994. They became famous first in 98°, their pop vocal band started in 1995.
Pitching and producing shows “is how you control your career. You don’t have to rely on others to bring you opportunities,” Drew says.
Since the last 98° CD released in 2002, Both men have had reality TV successes. Drew won ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” in 2006, and hosted ABC’s “Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann” and the “Miss USA” pageant.
Nick starred with then-wife Jessica Simpson on MTV’s “Newlyweds,” directed Cincinnati’s winning “Clash of the Choirs” ensemble on NBC, and created and produced “Taking the Stage” with MTV. (MTV executives have not decided whether to produce a second “Taking the Stage” season, although the network continued to film at SCPA in April and May. The eight-week first season ended May 7.)
HGTV programmers asked Drew to host the “$250,000 “Challenge” after he taped an “HGTV Showdown” program (to air later this year), and they realized how handy he was around his California house.
“This show is a perfect place for me to go in the next step of my career. This (home improvement work) is something I’m always doing every day in my house,” Drew says.
While shooting the HGTV series, he watched staff assemble the production closely.
in suburban Los Angeles this spring, Drew spent a lot of time watching staffers assemble the production.
“We (Nick and I) had talked about how we need to get more involved behind the scenes,” Drew says. “This was a great experience for me, on a personal and professional level.”

[Video] Nick Lachey And Vanessa Minnillo Have Very Different Prom Memories Posted by Natasha on May 19, 2009 // Category: News,Videos // Comments (0)
Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo seem to have had very different prom experiences back in high school. Minnillo, who grew up all over the country as an Army brat, had a full-on glamorous prom experience, while Lachey, who grew up in Cincinnati, had a more low-budget prom night.
“I always feel like prom was fun, but it was always a little bit of a let-down from all the anticipation and all the butterflies,” Lachey told MTV News. “You get all dressed up and it’s like, ‘This is it?’ I didn’t spring for a limo. I took a rusted-out Toyota — that’s how we did it in Cincinnati.”
Meanwhile, Minnillo’s aggravation came from having to hear her date complain about spending a lot of money to take her to the prom. “The guy wastes a lot of money,” she recalled. “I had to hear about it. ‘I spent money on the limo, money on dinner’ … I’m like, ‘The whole point of prom is to have a good time.’ ”
Despite her date’s complaining, she did call him out on being a bit stingy on the limo rental. “It was a six-person limo,” she said. “And it had 12 of us in it!”
