Prime Newswire :LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 3, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) — Following the lavish 20th Annual Barnstable-Brown Gala, hosted by Tricia Barnstable Brown and her sister, Priscilla Barnstable, VIPs and celebrities headed for continued late-night celebrating at the In Touch Parlor (at Felt Lounge) in the heart of Louisville’s "4th Street Live!" entertainment district and the official "Budweiser Select In Touch Kentucky Derby Pre-Party" hosted by celebrity bros Nick and Drew Lachey.

This is the third year that "4th Street Live!" has played host to thousands of local Louisville residents, out-of-town visitors and famous athletes and celebrities. Friday night ended three days of music and fun that honor and precede the famed Kentucky Derby Race - billed as the "Run for the Roses" and the "fastest two minutes in sports."

At midnight, as Friday night turned into Saturday morning - and following a free street concert featuring the chart-topping Goo Goo Dolls - the "4th Street Live!" venue transformed into a heart-pounding VIP red carpet event with a specially created "In Touch Parlor" just for celebrities.

Amid captivating ice sculptures and a sea of Kentucky Derby-inspired Rose floral displays, designed and supplied by presenting sponsor ProFlowers, partygoers danced the night away to music spun by renowned turntable maestro DJ AM.

While hosts Nick and Drew Lachey welcomed celebrities, guests also sipped on a number of specially created drinks featuring delicious Pama Pomegranate Liqueur, also a presenting sponsor. Specialty cocktails included the Pama "InTouch" Tini, Pama "ProFlowers" Bubbly and the ever-popular (and obligatory) Pama "Mint Julep" Derby - along with plenty of thirst-quenching FIJI Water for designated revelers.

As the Derby Night Pre-Party rocked into the wee small hours, celebrities and guests continued arriving and lining the red carpet (made of rose petals) leading into the "In Touch" Parlor and VIP Lounge.

Luminaries of stage, film, TV and sports included Nick Lachey, Drew Lachey, Lea Lachey, Adrian Grenier (Wire Image Exclusive), Michael Strahan, Taylor Hicks, Terrell Owens, Bode Miller, Joey Fatone, Tara Conner, Ivana Milicevic, Bob Guiney, Rebecca Budig (All My children), Larry Birkhead with girlfriend Jenna Burstein, Greg Grunberg (Heroes), Taylor Dane, Jason Kennedy, and various other NFL and NBA stars.

Courier-Journal.com :…Barnstable Brown Gala regular Nick Lachey was back for the 2008 bash. Last year he attended the gala with girlfriend and actress Vanessa Minnillo.

He said Minnillo is "doing great," but she wasn’t able to attend the bash because "she just started shooting her first movie ("Goodie Two Shoes" — also starring Carmen Electra and Kim Kardashian) today," he said. "She’s on location in Louisiana and I’m here."

Lachey (who was one of the last celebs to walk the red carpet just before 11 p.m.) attended the bash with his brother and former "Dancing with the Stars" champ Drew Lachey, and Drew’s wife, Lea.

"Derby weekend is such a great time in Louisville and we try to make it here every year," Lachey said.

Nick Lachey’s ‘Breaking Free’?

ABC have announced that Nick will be hosting their summer show ‘High School Musical : Summer Session’.  The show begins July 20th with auditions being shown at the beginning, much like American Idol.

Check out Fox News for more.

While it’s not an announcement I expected to hear, I can’t argue that Nick has got involved with one of the most popular phenomenons of recent times. Lets hope some of the kids that watch will want to buy the new album.

Even though recent reports by several sites suggested they might be heading for a split, Nick and Vanessa looked as together as a couple could be at L.A celeb haunt Ago. You can see the full story here courtesy of PopSugar.com

Rumors will always surround celebrity couples, but I for one hope this goes some way to putting some of them to bed.

Nick Lachey Working on Reality Version of Fame

Nick Lachey is returning to his roots. The former Newlyweds star is executive producing a pilot for an MTV reality show, which the network describes as a version of the ’80s movie and TV show Fame, according to The Hollwood Reporter.

The yet-to-be-named program focuses on students at the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, Lachey’s alma mater. (Sarah Jessica Parker and Carmen Electra are also famous former students.)

“The stories and relationships are all set to music that’s organic to what’s going on in the school and also performed by the kids,” Tony DiSanto, executive VP of series development and programming at the network, tells the Reporter. “This is a genre-busting, creative experiment that I’m really excited about.”

As an example DiSanto said a scene could feature kids breaking into dance in the cafeteria, which sounds a lot like a real-life High School Musical, or the soundtrack could come from a scene in which a student is practicing his or her instrument.

Lachey, who proposed the project, is executive producing it with Marc Platt and Russell Heldt.

Nick Lachey Wishes Jessica Simpson “Nothing But Happiness”
Posted by Natasha on February 23, 2008 // Category: News // Comments (1)

Nick Lachey has given his blessing to ex Jessica Simpson and her boyfriend Tony Romo.

“I wish her nothing but happiness,” Lachey says in the latest issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands Wednesday. “If she’s found that… good for her.”

Amid talk that Simpson may be returning to the small screen with a CMT special, Lachey understands her motives.

“I did a show a show around the making of my last record,” Lachey told Us. “It was kind of a documentary that I did with MTV about making a record… that is an idea that I had and I thought it was a good one, so I can certainly see where she’s coming from with that.”

But Lachey has ruled out a return to the reality genre that brought him and Simpson notoriety with MTV’s Newlyweds.

“Reality TV is not on my radar,” he said. “You learn lessons in life, and then you have a responsibility to yourself to learn from those lessons.”

When asked if he would consider a reality series with girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo, Lachey responded, “No, no, no, no. Never. Never.”

Lachey, 34, and Minnillo, 27, have been dating for a year and a half.

Every guy loves cars. That’s nothing new. And when Mattel asked Nick Lachey to glam up their 40th Anniversary festivities, he couldn’t say no.

The “What’s Left of Me” singer showed up at the 40th Anniversary event in New York City earlier today for the unveiling of a one-of-a-kind custom jeweled 1:64-scale Hot Wheels car.

Custom jeweler Jason of Beverly Hills was commissioned to create the car, in commemoration of the production of the 4 billionth Hot Wheels vehicle.

According to a press release, “The diamonds on the custom-made jeweled car, valued at $140,000, total more than 2,700 and weigh nearly 23 carats in total weight. The car is cast in 18-karat white gold with the majority of the vehicle detailed with micro pave-set brilliant blue diamonds, mimicking the Hot Wheels® Spectraflame® blue paint.”

Clad in a dark suit with white shirt, Lachey hammed it up, seeming to enjoy the pomp and circumstance of the day.
